Ashley will stick with commitment

Things got real interesting for Los Angeles (Calif.) Venice running back Kenny Ashley earlier in the week. That's because his dream school and childhood favorite, USC, gave him a verbal offer on Monday and Ashley said he was torn between sticking with his commitment to Mississippi State or jumping on the Trojans offer.
"I'm going to stay with Mississippi State," Ashley said. "It was great to get the offer from SC, but I never did get the paperwork and I really wasn't sure how bad they wanted me. They came real late and it seemed like I was never a big priority for them.

"Mississippi State has been with me from the beginning and I always felt a sense of loyality to them. I really like those coaches a lot and respect them a great deal. I talked about things with my mom and I'm planning on signing with them in the morning and I'm looking forward to being a Bulldog."
Ashley, 5-8, 210 pounds wowed everyone who saw him all week in practice during the CaliFlorida Bowl and he's easily one of the nation's most underrated recruits in our eyes.
