Ashley talks about Boise St visit

Former Los Angeles (Calif.) Venice running back Kenny Ashley was one of the top backs in the West in the class of 2006. Ashley signed with USC last February but after failing to qualify, is now back on the market and took his first official visit two weeks ago.
Ashley, 5-8, 200 pounds visited Boise State two weeks ago and said he can definitely see himself as a Bronco down the line.

"I had a great visit," Ashley said. "I was really surprised by the city of Boise, it actually reminded me a lot of Los Angeles. It's a great college town and has everything you could want right around the campus.
"The highlight for me was the game experience. The crowd was insane and they didn't stop yelling the whole time and that was against Utah State. They sell out every game there and they really pack it in.
"I know some of the players on the team, guys like Orlando Scandrick and Jason Robinson and they're both really happy there. They have a fun, wide open offense and I think I would be a great one-two punch with Ian Johnson if I ended up there.
"The only other visit I have set up right now is with UNLV (Dec. 8). I just got cleared by the NCAA Clearinghouse so I'm hoping that will open up a few more options for me. I would like to stay close to home so it would be cool to hear from schools like Arizona, Arizona State, Washington and San Diego State.
"I'm just going to go through the process a little more and see how things play out. In high school, I only took one official visit and that was to Mississippi State. So I just want to take my time and make sure I make the best decision for me. I'm going to be able to sign in February and enroll in the Spring with five years to play four and I'm going to be ready to go next fall."
