Ashburn changes commitment
Fork Union (Va.) Fork Union Military cornerback Delton Ashburn clearly wanted to play for head coach John L. Smith. Now he'll get his chance.
"I committed to Michigan State last weekend on my visit," said the 5-foot-11, 175-pounder. "I really like coach Smith and the players and coaches up there. Coach Smith was a bit part of my decision. I know he turns programs around."

Ashburn originally committed to Smith while he was at Louisville only to change his mind the next weekend on a visit to Syracuse. Now it's back to playing for Smith again.
"It's more than just the coach as well," he said. "I have a great opportunity to play at Michigan State and I like the way the players have bonded and come together there."
Ashburn doesn't have any more official visits scheduled and said he is firm in his decision.
