Ash ready for second visit

Richard Ash is a three-star defensive tackle prospect from Pahokee, Florida. Ash, 6-4 and 280 pounds, is gearing up for his second official visit this coming weekend to LSU.
"I was there last summer," Ash said. "I loved the stadium and their facilities. The coaches are great and so are the restaurants. We don't play this weekend so it all works out good. I can't wait."

Ash has already visited West Virginia. He liked what he saw in Morgantown.
"It was very nice up there and I really liked the weather. It wasn't hot. The coaching staff is down to earth. Doc Holiday keeps it real with me. I think West Virginia is a place where I can get on the field early."
So with two visits down and three to go who's on the short list for Ash?
"I have not made up my mind for other visits. I think I would like to possibly see UCLA, USC, Minnesota, and Oklahoma State. USF, Minnesota and USC really standout for me right now.
"USF is playing real well and I like their depth on the defensive line.
"USC is just a big time program that puts a lot of people in the NFL. Plus, I wouldn't mind going to L.A.
"I have a teammate (Doral Willis) that committed to Minnesota and I would love to play with him. Plus, they seem like a program headed in the right direction."
Pahokee is 4-1 this season. Ash believes his play has improved over last season.
"Oh yeah. Last year I only started half the season. I am stronger with better speed. I can push people out of the way and I am playing with some technique."
