Asante to announce on Rivals Radio

Coffeyville (Kan.) Coffeyville C.C. four-star junior college linebacker Larry Asante is ready to make a decision, but the 6-foot-1, 205-pounder says he's going to make everybody wait until Wednesday for the decision.
That's when Asante, the nation's No. 9 junior college player in the nation, will announce his decision live on Rivals Radio.

The announcement will air at 7:30 a.m. est on Wednesday. Rivals Radio is broadcast in Sirius Satellite Radio channel 123 or fans can listen on RivalsRadio.com.
"My family thought it would be great to do a special announcement," Asante said.
"When I heard about the opportunity to announce on Rivals Radio, I thought it would be something really exciting. I remember when my former teammate Brandon Walker committed to Oklahoma on Rivals Radio, so I thought it would be a good thing."
The final three schools in the running for Asante are Nebraska, Clemson and Kansas State.
He also visited Iowa State back in September but with the coaching change in Ames, the Cyclones were eliminated. The Clemson visit took place this past weekend, and he also visited Nebraska on Nov. 24 and K-State on Nov. 10.
"All three of the schools are great schools, and it would have been an honor to play at each one of them," Asante said. "I'm just going to sit down with my parents and see where I should go and make the best decision for me career-wise."
Asante had good things to say about each school after the visits.
"I'm from Virginia so Clemson plays at Virginia and Virginia Tech," Asante said. "The location isn't too far and it's on the East coast. I noticed that at K-State everyone is a family. At Nebraska, the people are what have impressed me most of all. I also like their academics. They've had more academic All-Americans than any other school."
