Arrington returns from Kent

Chatham (Va.) Hargrave Military Academy wide receiver Dayon Arrington took his second consecutive official visit over the weekend. The 6-foot-3, 200-pounder headed to Ohio to check out Kent State.
"It was a good visit," he said. "I got to meet the coaches and players. The players were pretty cool.

"My host, Leneric Muldrow was pretty cool. He showed me around the campus and school. I got to meet a lot of interesting people."
What did Arrington do on the visit?
"I was up there Friday through Sunday," he said. "I met with some friends of the players. On Saturday, I took the SAT in the morning and then after breakfast toured the school some more and met with the athletic director and did the educational stuff. I also met with the head coach.
"That was cool. I didn't even realize he was the head coach because he was cool and down-to-earth."
Arrington was surprised by the visit.
"It was much better than I thought," he said. "Going in, I didn't know much about Kent. I knew it was in Ohio, but it was cool."
Kent State is one of two Division I schools that have offered the Hargrave prospect.
"Virginia offered me a couple weeks back," he stated. "I like Virginia a lot. That's my big offer and one of the schools I've always wanted to go to. It's close to home and I'm interested in them a lot."
Other schools showing interest in the prep product are West Virginia and others from the MAC.
Does anyone lead?
"If I had to pick one, more than likely it would be Virginia just because I'm familiar with them and grew up liking them," he said. "Right now, I'm weighing my options and thinking about every thing. I'll probably make my decision in January."
Arrington posted 10 receptions for 250-yards and two touchdowns this season for Hargrave.
He also discussed briefly his eligibility status.
"I got an 870 on the SAT recently and need a 920 with my grades," he said. "I feel pretty good about it and I'm close to getting that possibly for January enrollment."
