Arnold off to fast start

Through two games Mocksville (N.C.) Davie County running back James Arnold is one of the top performers in North Carolina. Has anything changed on the recruiting front lately?
The 5-foot-10, 171-pound back has accumulated more than 480 yards rushing and five touchdowns in two games, leading Davie County to a 2-0 start. He's also intercepted two passes as the squad's defensive leader.

"We're off to a good start," he said. "I don't really care so much about the stats. I mean, if I get them good, but I'm more concerned about winning."
What schools is Arnold interested in?
"Auburn, Clemson, UNC and East Carolina are the four schools that have offered, so I think they're on top. Those four have contacted me the most, and I expect them to be my favorites until other schools step up."
Don't plan on hearing a decision from Arnold anytime soon.
"I'll probably make a decision sometime around the end of December or the beginning of January. I plan on taking my official visits and then ending the process. But it won't be for a while."
Right now, Arnold has an official visit set for Auburn on Oct. 9.
"I hope to set the others up soon."
