Arndt mulling over pair of offers

Tight end Alex Arndt of Austin (Texas) McNeil high school is starting to see things pick up in his recruitment with two offers in hand and several other schools could be interested enough to add their name to this sleeper's list.
UTEP has offered and then Air Force has given their equivalent to an offer considering their special situation as a military academy. By passing a physical it looks like they are another school that Arndt could make his college choice to attend.

That's not all.
"Baylor came down to watch me practice, Texas A&M has been talking to me, Purdue is in there, TCU, and then Arkansas as well," Arndt said. "So quite a few schools are interested enough to offer I think."
Things really started rolling for Arndt after his performances at the TCU Nike Football Training Camp. Since them he has seen his offer total rise and his exposure really increase.
Now that exposure has him thinking about visits and some schools are already lining up.
"UTEP is going to schedule me whenever I give them a date that works for me," Arndt said. "I'm taking the ACT this weekend so I can't go out there then. The next home game, they want me there. I have to get that scheduled and then talk to the other schools about when they want me to come out."
Last year Arndt explained that the ball was not usually thrown to him as much as some other positions, but that is starting to change.
"We're 3-0 so that's really exciting because two of those games we've come back from behind," he said. "I've already had four catches for around 60 yards and a touchdown."
His decision will come after patiently waiting out on every option. His brother, who went through this process before playing college ball, gave him some advice he intends on following.
"I guess whenever I have to and it's a big factor for me," he said. "It's about the season now. My brother said you need to enjoy your senior year because football is not the same after that. I'm taking that advice right now."
