Army gets LB commitment

Red Bank, N.J. linebacker Bo Olsen decided to make a verbal commitment this weekend when he told new Army head coach Bobby Ross that he was willing to fight for God and Country, right inside beautiful Niche Stadium.
The 6-foot-2, 230-pound inside backer who had interest from several MAC schools as well as Duke and Northwestern just couldn't pass up the opportunity to play for a head coach who won a National Championship while at Georgia Tech and also a free education which includes pre-med degree.

"Coach Ross has already made changes to the football program and after visiting for a second time, I just think it's the right choice for me. I think that coach Ross will make the program a winner again and the U.S. Military Academy has one of the best medical programs in the country."
It's not an easy task playing for one of the academies, but Olsen is certainly up for the challenge.
"I was able to hang out with a lot of the players this past weekend and they told me what I can expect as a player. It's a little different when you play football compared to being a regular student."
Olsen has very good hands and blocks very well so a few schools were interested in him as an h-back or fullback, but he will play inside linebacker for the Black Knights.
"I'm really comfortable as a linebacker and coach Ross told me that is were I'll be playing. I'm really looking forward to playing for Army, it's a great honor."
