STOCK UP

Austin Mack
Austin Mack

1. WR Austin Mack, Fort Wayne (Ind.) Bishop Luers

Recruiting Wrap: Mack is committed to Ohio State.

Performance: There wasn’t a skill position player that had more success than Mack. He was able to separate from every defensive back and blew past safeties as if they were standing still. Mack made some spectacular catches down the middle of the field and had at least one one-handed catch that drew cheers from the other players. Mack will have a target on his back the rest of the week.

Dexter Lawrence
Dexter Lawrence ()

2. DT Dexter Lawrence, Wake Forest, N.C.

Recruiting Wrap: Lawrence is committed to Clemson.

Performance: The interior offensive linemen had no answer for Lawrence, the No. 2 player in the Rivals100. He is so strong and plays with great leverage; none of the offensive lineman could hold their ground against him. If Lawrence continues to play like he did on day one, he will challenge Rashan Gary for the top spot in the Rivals100.

Derrick Brown
Derrick Brown ()

3. DT Derrick Brown, Sugar Hill (Ga.) Lanier

Recruiting Wrap: Tennessee, Auburn and Georgia are Brown’s top contenders. He is taking official visits to all three of those schools later this month.

Performance: Brown’s performance during the season was inconsistent but he really stepped it up for practice on Monday. He has a great first step out of his stance and has the strength to brush offensive linemen to the side. Brown was also very effective during team drills and had a few tackles for a loss.

4. DE Jeffery Simmons, Macon (Miss.) Noxubee County

Recruiting Wrap: Ole Miss, Mississippi State, Alabama and Tennessee are the top contenders for Simmons.

Performance: Simmons is every bit of his listed 6-foot-4, 251-pounds. He tossed offensive linemen out of his way during one-on-ones and showed off his strong hand techniques often. Simmons did a good job of setting the edge during team drills and was a dependable run defender.

Brian Burns
Brian Burns ()

5. DE Brian Burns, Plantation (Fla.) American Heritage

Recruiting Wrap: Florida, Florida State and Georgia are Burns’ finalists. He will take official visits to all three in January.

Performance: Burns is probably the best outside pass rusher on the East team. He blew past offensive tackles and had consistent success during one-on-ones. When Burns didn’t immediately win with an outside rush, he was able to counter with a strong inside move. His speed on the outside will be a recurring theme this week.

Demetris Robertson
Demetris Robertson ()

6. WR Demetris Robertson, Savannah, (Ga.) Savannah Christian School

Recruiting Wrap: Stanford, Georgia, and Alabama will host Robertson for official visits in January.

Performance: Robertson is one of the best athletes on either team in San Antonio. He has great burst and is a threat to score from anywhere on the field. Robertson is a pretty reliable receiver, making some tough catches over the middle and down the field. There were a few instances where he made some of the safeties look silly.

7. TE Isaac Nauta, Bradenton, (Fla.) IMG Academy

Recruiting Wrap: Nauta is committing at the Army game on Saturday. Georgia, Michigan and Alabama are his finalists.

Performance: Nauta was one of the most consistent players on Monday. He is a willing blocker and catches almost everything thrown his way. Nauta won almost all of his reps in 1-on-1s and was one of the favorite targets for the quarterbacks in 7-on-7 drills. Nauta will have a lot of success this week as long as he can consistently separate from linebackers and safeties.

Jacob Eason
Jacob Eason ()

8. QB Jacob Eason, Lake Stevens, Wash.

Recruiting Wrap: Eason is committed to Georgia.

Performance: Eason had a slow start to the day but really came on as the day went on. He does a good job of seeing the field and finding the open receiver. Eason also did a good job of putting touch on the ball when he needed too. He was able to connect with a lot of receiver on deep passes.

Feleipe Franks
Feleipe Franks ()

9. QB Feleipe Franks, Crawfordville (Fla.) Wakulla

Recruiting Wrap: Franks is committed to Florida.

Performance: No quarterback on the East squad has a stronger arm than Franks. He made a lot of great throws down the field but he also overthrew wide receivers running short or crossing patterns. Franks’ mobility is definitely an asset but it was tough for him to show it off in practice.

Marquez Callaway
Marquez Callaway ()

10. DB Marquez Callaway, Warner Robins, Ga.

Recruiting Wrap: Mississippi State, Ole Miss and Tennessee are Callaway’s final three and he will officially visit them later this month.

Performance: Callaway had an up and down day at cornerback but there is a lot there to like. He was physical with receivers at the line of scrimmage and made it tough for receivers to get inside leverage. Callaway’s length made it tough for quarterbacks to find throws into tight windows. He had a lot of success defending passes along the sideline.

STOCK DOWN

Tavien Feaster
Tavien Feaster ()

1. RB Tavien Feaster, Spartanburg, S.C.

Recruiting Wrap: Feaster is committed to Clemson.

Performance: Feaster is super-talented but he went down with a minor injury just after warm up drills. This isn’t the first time he’s sat out of a practice or camp setting with a mysterious injury. He participated in the Charlotte stop of the Rivals Camp Series Presented by Under Armour and the Shrine Bowl of the Carolinas but did not seem motivated and did not stand out. At some point he’s going to have to prove himself against elite competition. This is his last chance to do so before National Signing Day.

2. OL Ben Cleveland, Toccoa (Ga.) Stephens County

Recruiting Wrap: Cleveland is committed to Georgia.

Performance: Cleveland is one of the most impressive looking prospects to come out of high school in recent years but he still has a long way to go before he is ready to see the field in college. He is far from technically sound and needs to do a better job of moving laterally while keeping his balance. Cleveland’s college coaches have their work cut out for them but they will be working with a superior specimen.

Jawon Pass
Jawon Pass ()

3. QB Jawon Pass, Columbus (Ga.) Carver

Recruiting Wrap: Pass is committed to Louisville.

Performance: Pass is one of the nation’s top athletes at the quarterback position but he is very erratic. Many of his throws sailed over his wide receiver’s head or landed way in front of them. Pass is most effective while on the move and throwing deep balls but he needs to be more accurate as the week goes on.

Jordan Fuller
Jordan Fuller ()

4. DB Jordan Fuller, Old Tappan, N.J.

Recruiting Wrap: Notre Dame, Ohio State, Penn State and Michigan are the top four contenders for Fuller. He has official visits locked in to Ohio State and Michigan. Penn State will likely host Fuller at the end of January.

Performance: Fuller is a very good athlete but the downfield speed of the wide receivers seemed to catch him off guard. Quarterbacks frequently completed passes to receivers that had beaten him deep. Fuller does bring a physical presence to the secondary but he needs to make sure he isn’t a liability when it comes to deep passes.

5. OL Connor McGovern, Lehman (Pa.) Lake Lehman Senior

Recruiting Wrap: McGovern is committed to Penn State.

Performance: Penn State is getting a very good center in McGovern but he was not ready for the size, strength, and speed of these defensive linemen. He started to adjust towards the end of practice but many of the defensive linemen were able to beat him during team drills. Expect McGoveron to improve as the week goes on.
