SAN ANTONIO -- Dylan Crawford plans to make his commitment Saturday at the U.S. Army All-American Bowl but he could still take visits in the final weeks leading up to National Signing Day.

“I’m set to commit this Saturday but I still might take a few of my officials after that so that’s where I’m at right now,” Crawford said.

The Rancho Santa Margarita (Calif.) Santa Margarita Catholic standout has Washington, Oregon, UCLA, Miami, Michigan and Georgia as the frontrunners leading up to his decision.

According to Crawford, Stanford has basically slipped off his list.

As for visits after his weekend decision, the four-star receiver said Miami, Washington and Georgia might get trips in the coming weeks.

With former Miami offensive coordinator James Coley joining the Georgia staff as receivers coach Crawford said he’s hearing more from the Bulldogs and wants to visit.

“Definitely it influences my thinking a little bit,” Crawford said. “I haven’t really gotten to get exposed to an SEC environment like that before. I think it would be fun to check that out.

It is essentially the same story with Crawford’s renewed interest in Miami with coach Mark Richt taking over. He has liked the Hurricanes for a while and he could take a trip soon.

“You know things are going to turn around there,” Crawford said of Miami. “He’s going to get things going. Richt is a good coach, I’ve been talking to him recently and Miami definitely has a shot in it.”

As for Washington, it is still under consideration after his commitment because Crawford hasn’t had a chance to visit there yet. That could play a factor as he negotiates the final weeks of his recruitment.

“I haven’t gotten a chance to visit Washington at all,” Crawford said. “They’ve always been in it for me so I feel like it’s in my best interest and their best interest to get me out there.”
