Armstrong deals with slow start

With a new coach and a new system, Memphis (Tenn.) Wooddale wide receiver Sean Armstrong has had to deal with a bit of an adjustment period during his senior season. After a very successful junior season in which the Cardinals went 10-3, Wooddale has stumbled out of the gates and Armstrong has had to learn to deal with the frustration.
"We've been going downhill this season," Armstrong said. "We got a new coach in the middle of the summer and we've won two games but we're still getting used to him and the playcalling. We're 2-4."

With his team's uncharacteristic struggles, Armstrong's production has taken a hit.
"I've been alright," he said. "We have two young QBs so I'm I've been trying to work with them so that they can get me the ball. It's not like [last year's quarterback Jeremy Patterson]. We're still trying to get used to coach's style."
Despite the struggles, Armstrong has maintaining a positive outlook.
"I've been keeping cool," he said. "Change happens every day. I just have to get used to his coaching strategies and his coaching ways."
Armstrong holds offers from Colorado, Memphis and Ole Miss but has been receiving interest from a few others.
"Indiana, they've been recruiting me real tough and Ole Miss and Colorado and MTSU," he said. "I've been looking at Miami. They started recruiting us last year so I started looking at them."
Armstrong has had the opportunity to go to one college game with plans of more to come.
"I went to one game, MTSU and Memphis," he said. "That's the only game that I went to. I had been to a lot of Memphis games but it was something new because I'd never seen MTSU play. I think I'm going to try to make some more in the following weeks. Me and my dad and some more players will probably go to Ole Miss to see them play at some point."
As a junior, Armstrong had 33 catches for 563 yards and six touchdowns.
