Arkansas WR picks up offer

Little Rock (Ark.) Central wide receiver Stewart Franks recently picked up his first scholarship offer from the Arkansas Razorbacks. While he has not started receiving the national attention that some recruits are at this point, he is still considered to be among the elite players in Arkansas.
"I'm not looking at too many schools right now," Franks said.

"Arkansas has offered and they are one of the top schools on my list because of that. I like Texas a lot too, because I grew up a Texas fan and its a great school. I'm also looking at Texas A&M."
The 6-foot-2, 190 pound Franks, who runs the 40-yard dash in 4.6 seconds, caught 30 passes for 726 passes and six touchdowns as a junior.
Though Franks is checking out all of his options at this point, in the end, the home state Razorbacks could be tough to beat.
“Arkansas has offered and it’s close to home so that puts them up there to start with,” he said. “I went there for their junior day and it was straight. I got to talk to coach (Houston) Nutt and saw all of the facilities and everything. They are definitely one of the top schools on my list right now.”
Franks is also receiving letters from Iowa and Rice. He plans to attend the Nike camp in College Station on May 1st as well as a mini-camp at Texas over the summer.
“I’m not looking for any one certain thing in a school,” he said. “I just want to visit around to the schools that are interested in me and I guess I will go from there. A lot of it will come down to how comfortable I feel at that place.”
While Franks is receiving the most attention as a wide receiver at this point, he will likely get looks at the safety position as well.
