"Honestly, I just want to go to Miami (Fla.)," the 6-foot-2, 175-pound Franklin said. "I liked them as a kid and I always dreamed of playing there."
So what does he like the most about the Canes?
"I like how all of the former players come back," he said. "I want to be part of something special like that.
"I haven't gotten any offers yet, but I have received a number of letters."
Georgia Tech, Miami (Fla.) and Oklahoma State all have sent mail to the Memphis-area prospect.
Franklin, who says he models his game after Terrell Owens on the field, caught 37 passes for 660 yards and 16 touchdowns his junior year. He also was very effective on defense, racking up 118 tackles and six sacks.
Franklin is a two-time all-conference selection.
