Arkansas visit impresses RB

San Antonio (Texas) Madison three-star running back Devin Thomas just returned from an unofficial visit to Arkansas, and he's set up to check out Texas A&M and North Texas here in the next few weeks.
While he's excited about all the visits and offers from places like Arkansas, Duke, Missouri, Northwestern, Purdue, Stanford, Texas A&M and North Texas, he's still trying to formulate his top five schools.

So what did he like about Arkansas?
"It was nice," he said. "I liked the facilities and all the coaches there. They're real down to earth. I got a real good vibe from all the coaches and they really want me to go to Arkansas. They emphasized that every time I saw them. It just a good atmosphere and everything I saw, I really liked."
Is Arkansas one of your favorites after the trip?
"I was just impressed by everything," he said. "My coach and I when we went there, we went around the campus and looked at everything. It was real good, like the weight room which is brand new. Everything about it was great. When the coaches showed me around again, they were real welcoming and they had a good vibe. I'm going to put them in my top five, so I can make an official visit there."
At this point, it's only sure that A&M would be in that top five.
"A&M for sure, and then I'm trying to decide after that," he said. "I'm trying to figure out the others between Missouri, Stanford, Northwestern, North Texas, Purdue, South Florida, and Kansas."
A&M seemingly has the leg up, though, for now. Why are the Aggies up there?
"It's because when I went to their junior day, I liked the coaches and the campus, too," he said. "It's only 2 hours form home so I know my parents could come see me play. My coach and I are going to go up to Texas A&M in two weeks. It was supposed to be this weekend, so it will be next weekend I think the fourth is the date. Then we're going to North Texas after that. My coach needs to talk to their coaches to find out everything about that trip."
Thomas said he's not sure when he'll have a final pick.
"It's probably going to be when I feel it and feel it's best for me," he said. "I'm just ready to bounce back from last year's season because, we didn't have a real good one. I'm ready to bounce back and show that we can come back into the playoffs and stuff."
