Springdale (Ark.) running back Matt Clinkscales is still holding on one scholarship offer, but he is taking calls and getting mail from several other programs.
Arkansas State offered the 6-foot-1, 205-pounder a few weeks back. Arkansas, Kansas, Iowa State and Rice all have been in touch.
"Things have been going pretty good," he said. "I have been talking to a couple of schools. Nobody else has offered me, but I have been sending in tapes and talking to coaches."
Arkansas State running backs coach David Gunn has made an in-home visit with Clinkscales. The two-star rated prospect has not yet set up an official visit to Jonesboro.
"I do not (have anything set up) yet," he said. "I plan on making one soon."
Note: This interview took place before reports that Springdale quarterback Mitch Mustain was reconsidering his commitment to Arkansas. Therefore, Clinkscales had no comment on his teammate.
