Arkansas OL waiting on offers

Batesville (Ark.) offensive guard Drew Hilton, The No. 13 prospect in the preseason Arkansas top 20 is gearing up for a run in the state playoffs with his unbeaten high school team and hopeful that Division I-A scholarship offers will be forthcoming soon.
The 6-foot-4, 290-pound Hilton has been hearing from Tulsa, Arkansas and Central Arkansas coaches, but no offers have been extended yet.

"(Golden Hurricane offensive line coach Spencer Leftwich) from Tulsa has been calling," Hilton said. "He said that he's got me in mind and that they will be getting some senior film on me soon."
Hilton, who had a 3.5 grade point average last quarter, likes the situation at Tulsa in part because of academics. Though he is undecided about a college major, engineering is one of the courses of study he has been entertaining.
"Tulsa is a good engineering school," he said.
He also hears from his Arkansas recruiter, offensive line coach and running game coordinator Mike Markuson.
"I still hear from (him)," Hilton said. "But not as much."
He attended the Razorbacks' 44-15 victory against Louisiana-Monroe earlier this season.
Batesville High goes into its first round playoff game with Whitehall on Friday night with a perfect 10-0 record.
"We've got a lot of team speed," Hilton said. "There were also a lot of good returning players on our team."
