One of the South’s top O-Line prospects has a two official visits coming over the next two weekends.
“I’m going on an official visit to Tennessee this weekend for the Georgia game,” said three-star Stuttgart (Ark.) guard Brett Helms, “and the following week I’ll be taking an official visit to Arkansas for the Florida game.”

The Vols and Razorbacks have been considered by many to have the inside track for Helms (6-3, 300, 5.2), the No. 18 guard in the nation, but he insists that he remains open to several schools.
“Those are the two who have recruited me the longest and the hardest,” he said. “They probably have a better chance than anybody, but it’s still pretty much open. I got a couple of new offers from Iowa and Kansas State, so I’m thinking about them, too.”
Helms has offers from Auburn, Alabama, Arkansas, LSU, Ole Miss, Nebraska, Tennessee, Memphis, Iowa and Kansas State.
He’s made one unofficial visit thus far – Arkansas’ game against North Texas. The rest may have to be official visits as he plans to graduate from high school in Decemeber.
“I just finished a correspondence course, so I’m on track to graduate and go to college in January,” he said.
Helms maintains a 3.7 GPA and has scored a 20 on the ACT.
