Skinny: The fullback is one of the most overlooked and often forgotten players in today’s college football. But it’s fullbacks like Conway, Ark., standout Peyton Hillis that make you remember pretty quickly how important they truly are.
Hillis, all 6-foot-3 and 245 pounds of him, is a battering ram of a running back and one of the best drive blockers that Rivals100 has seen on him in a while from the running back spot. He has the ability to over-power, run over or run through you, which makes him a definite college prospect.
And with early attention from teams like Oklahoma, Arkansas, Colorado, Michigan and Nebraska, he looks like he’ll have an opportunity to think about numerous choices.
“I want to play for a winning program that competes for championships,” Hillis said. “I think the school’s winning tradition will be the most important thing to me.
“I also would like to play in college where they have a great balance of run and pass. I feel that I have outstanding blocking skills to go along with my running and catching abilities.”
