Arkansas DT to stay close to home

One of the most under-ranked players in the Southeast is Little Rock Central three-star defensive tackle Fred Bledsoe. Yes, he is ranked as the nation’s No. 41 defensive tackle, but that still might be too low, especially when you look at the teams chasing after him.
“I’m mainly looking at the teams right around here, especially the ones in the border states or ones right next to Arkansas,” Bledsoe, who is 6-foot-4 and 280 pounds, said.

Those teams are Alabama, Arkansas, Oklahoma, Oklahoma State and Tennessee. He starts his official visit tour with a visit to Arkansas on December 12, Tennessee on December 19 and then Alabama on January 9. He said one of the Oklahoma schools will get a visit on December 5, likely OSU because the Sooners likely will be playing for the Big 12 title that weekend, and then the other would get a visit in January.
“They’re all pretty even,” he said. “I did grow up watching a lot of Arkansas games, and I know that people around here would like me to go there. But I also have to do what’s best for me and pick a school based upon what I like and dislike.
“I do know that I’d rather stay somewhere near home, so that’s why the schools I picked are on my list.”
