Junior to Watch: Stephen Green
School: Little Rock (Ark.) Pulaski Academy

Position: Defensive Back/Running Back
Size and speed: Green is 6-foot-1 and 180 pounds. He runs the 40-yard dash in 4.4 seconds and is also a 6-10 high jumper in track and field.
Statistics: As a junior, Green rushed for 932 yards and seven touchdowns while hauling in 28 receptions for 200 yards.
Honors: Was named All-Conference and made the Democrat Gazette’s All-Arkansas Team as a junior.
Favorite Schools: Arkansas, Georgia, Florida State, Iowa, Tennessee, LSU, Ole Miss.
Skinny: The bloodlines are strong for Green, a fantastic all-around athlete whose older brother, Greg Wesley, plays safety for the Kansas City Chiefs. He wants to follow in those footsteps, and there figures to be several major programs willing to give him that opportunity as the recruiting process develops.
“We have a pretty athletic family,” he said. “My brothers both played, and Greg is starting for the Kansas City Chiefs right now. I really look up to him. I hope to be there at that level some day.”
Green says he grew up following Florida State, but hasn’t received any interest from the Seminoles yet. However, there are a number of other major programs in the mix, including: Arkansas, Nebraska, Texas A&M, Iowa, UCLA, Illinois, Missouri and Clemson.
He hasn’t decided which camps he’ll be attending this summer. Arkansas and Georgia are early possibilities.
