Arkansas back names a top five

Texarkana, Ark., all-purpose back Brandon Barnett already has an impressive list of offers, but now two of the nation’s premier programs have begun to show interest in the running back and his stock is on the rise.
“I still have the same offers from Arkansas, Arizona, Houston and Louisiana-Monroe,” Barnett said. “LSU and Florida State have started calling me regularly and watching me pretty closely. I have some smaller school offers, but those are the major offers I have.”

The 5-foot-9, 185-pound Barnett runs the 40-yard dash in 4.4 seconds, has a 315-pound bench press and a 450-pound squat.
“My top five right now are Arkansas, Arizona, LSU, Florida and Houston,” Barnett said. “I would have to say Arkansas is my leader because I have been there and seen it. They have been showing me a lot of love from the start. I haven’t had the chance to visit any other places yet to know how I would feel about them and see how they treat me though.”
Last season, Barnett rushed for 1,015 yards and 17 touchdowns. He also hauled in passes for 304 yards and 3 more scores. He returned 3 kickoffs for touchdowns, as well.
“The only major game I have been to this year was Arkansas-Texas,” Barnett said. “I plan on trying to get to some other games during the year though. I am probably going to set up all of my official visits for after the season.”
