Wide receiver J.J. Holliday (6-0, 160, 4.41) from Tucson (Ariz.) Santa Rita is a playmaking wide receiver who knows what to do after he makes a catch. As a junior, Holliday recorded 1,257 receiving yards and scored 17 touchdowns. With stats like that it is easy to understand why Holliday has four offers on the table.
On the recruiting trail Holliday scored offers from Wyoming, Colorado State and Utah over the summer. He recently picked up his fourth.
"I got offered by Air Force," Holliday said. "I'm hearing a lot from Utah and Colorado State also."
"I'm hoping to hear more from Cal and Arizona," Holliday said. "They're both talking to me but they haven't offered yet."
"College coaches from Cal and Arizona have come by to watch me play," Holliday said. "There should be more this week because it's going to be a really good game."
"I have already set up official visits to Colorado State and Utah," Holliday said. "I'm not sure what other schools I want to visit officially yet."
"Location is important to me, and also the weather," Holliday said. "I'm also looking for a good business program."
"I want to wait before I make my commitment," Holliday said. "Utah is my current leader right now."
"All of the schools are recruiting me to play wide receiver."
Holliday is an outstanding student who carries a 3.8 GPA and has scored a qualifying 1300 SAT.
Holliday earned a spot on the Rivals.com Arizona Preseason Top 30 for the class of 2009 landing as the Grand Canyon State's No. 29 prospect at any position.
