The versatile Nelson has set his first visit.
"We have a bye on the week of October 23rd," Nelson said. "I will visit Stanford.
"Obviously when you hear the word Stanford, you think of the education," Nelson said. "But I think Stanford is legit.
"I have watched them against both Washington and UCLA," Nelson said. "It appeared to me that Stanford physically wore both teams down offensively.
"Stanford is recruiting me as an athlete," Nelson said. "They are looking at me for both sides of the football and that is also attractive to me, but all schools look good to me.
"I talked to (UCLA head coach) Rick Neuheisel and will set up a visit to UCLA, most likely after the season," Nelson said. "I would like to take all five of my visits, but I don't think that will be likely. I will probably take four at the most because of time.
"I don't think I'm going to have an elongated decision," Nelson said. "I will probably make my decision soon after I take all of my trips.
"I really don't have any favorites at this time," Nelson said. "All schools are even."
Nelson earned a spot on the Rivals.com Arizona Preseason Top 25 team for the class of 2010 landing as the Grand Canyon State's No. 7 prospect at any position.
