Arizona TE showed hands at NIKE

Offensive lineman Richard “Tui” Tuitu’u (6-5, 300, 5.35) isn’t the only prospect from Gilbert (Ariz.) Highland to garner attention from colleges. Tight end Sean Fitzpatrick (6-3, 240, 4.8) is another Highland standout to keep your eye on.
According to Highland head coach Preston Jones, Fitzpatrick also had a nice showing at the NIKE camp held in San Diego on April 24th.

“Sean didn’t drop a ball at the NIKE Camp,” Jones said. “He also benched 185 pounds, 27 times.”
Fitzpatrick is somewhat of a sleeper in the early going and that is quite understandable. Most of the ink that went to a tight end from the Grand Canyon State a year ago either went to Zack Miller (ASU) or Andrew Pettis (ASU).
Now this season Fitzpatrick could be Arizona’s top tight end prospect.
Fitzpatrick was selected first-team all-league, second-team all-area and all-state (HM) as a junior. He caught 40 passes for 600 yards and eight touchdowns.
Fitzpatrick already has the equivalent of an offer from Harvard. His brother is currently the starting quarterback for Harvard.
Stanford and Northwestern is also showing interest in Fitzpatrick.
“Sean has the best hands I have ever seen,” Jones said. “He is also an incredible long snapper.”
Being a long snapper could help his recruitment.
“Sean has gained 25 pounds during the off-season and he kept all his quickness and speed,” Jones said. “He has been working extremely hard to get himself ready for his senior season.”
Fitzpatrick is already an outstanding blocker, but he is motivated to become an even better blocker. He’s already one of the best of the three best blockers on the team.
Fitzpatrick is the type of guy who wants to be the best.
