Arizona schools after 2016 QB

Devon Modster has now landed two Pac-12 offers after a fantastic junior season but the 2016 three-star quarterback is not making any rushed decisions.
Arizona was the first offer for the Rancho Santa Margarita (Calif.) Tesoro standout and then Arizona State came through recently as well.

Modster, rated as the No. 12 quarterback in the 2016 class with a chance to move up soon, has already taken unofficial visits to both places and seems interested.
"I've been talking to (Arizona State) for a while and then when I went to go see Arizona I went to ASU afterward and they offered," Modster said.
"I know they're getting a new weight room and everything and their stadium is really big. I didn't get to check out the whole campus because I didn't have that much time but ASU looked really nice when I went there."
The 2016 quarterback thoroughly enjoyed his more expansive visit to Arizona but is still keeping relatively diplomatic about if he has a favorite yet or not.
Modster has been impressed with Arizona's success this season but needs to keep learning more about coach Rich Rodriguez before he gets too excited.
"The coaches are really cool and the game was nice, too," said Modster, who plans to attend the Fiesta Bowl in which Arizona faces Boise State. "I haven't really experienced how he is as a coach so I'm going to look at that more."
Additional offers could be on the way. The Tesoro quarterback said California has recently reached out the most and that there have been hints that the Golden Bears could be next on his list. Other than that, Modster said things have been relatively quiet.
"I've been talking to Cal and they came by the school," Modster said. "The coach said they will offer but I need to meet the coaches and they want me to come down to the school and check them out."
In his junior season, Modster threw for 2,500 yards and 24 touchdowns and also rushed for 700 yards and 16 scores.
