Arizona RB stands out at NIKE

The stars were out at the NIKE Camp held in Palo Alto, Calif., last Saturday especially at the running back position. Darrell Scott from Ventura (Calif.) Saint Bonaventure and Covaughn DeBoskie from Chandler (Ariz.) Hamilton were in the house thrilling onlookers.
There was another running back who just happens to be from the Grand Canyon State of Arizona who also did a great job and impressed several colleges in attendance.

That running back is Jamal Womble (5-11, 215, 4.41) from Sierra Vista (Ariz.) Buena.
"My coach told me don't be surprised if USC starts to recruit me," Womble said. "Things are going good."
Good indeed, Womble has offers on the table from Arizona State, Oregon State, Boston College, Illinois, Indiana, Purdue, Wisconsin Nebraska, Nevada and Army.
Womble has no early favorites and says all schools are even. He will attend Louisville's camp this coming weekend on May 26th and if he performs like he did at the recent NIKE Camp there is a good chance he will walk away with a scholie offer from the Cardinals.
There is a good chance that Womble camps at both in-state schools, Arizona and Arizona State in June.
During the NIKE Camp there were comments about Womble that he sure looked the part and then he backed it up with a solid performance. He displayed good hands out of the backfield, fast and explosive.
Womble's coach, Mike Nezzusi has been known to compare his running back in style to San Diego Charger standout running back, LaDainian Tomlinson.
Womble is a team player in every sense of the word.
"I will do what ever my coach wants me to," Womble said. "Block, catch or run. I will play any position offense, defense or special teams.
"I'm about winning. If returning kicks will help our team win, then that's what I'll do."
What is Womble looking for in a college?
"The graduation rate of the student-athletes and my relationship with my position coach will be very important."
