Arizona RB shines at NIKE Combine

One player who really put on a show at the recent NIKE combine in Long Beach was Chandler (Ariz.) Hamilton running back Covaughn Deboskie. When you combine his performance with great junior film, look for the Arizona native to be among the top backs in the West next year.
We didn't know a lot about Deboskie prior to the combine. We knew he put up very solid numbers for one of the premier programs in the region. The athlete rushed for just over 1,200 yards and scored 21 touchdowns.

At the combine in Long Beach, Deboskie measured in at 5-11.5, 185 pounds, clocked the days fastest 40 time at 4.51 and also impressed with a 37 inch vertical.
"I had fun out here and I'm looking forward to going to the combine in Phoenix in a couple of weeks," Deboskie said. "I know I can do better, especially my shuttle and I'm just going to keep working hard all spring and summer."
On the recruiting front, Deboskie said he has one offer and listed five schools at the top of his list.
"Navy has offered a scholarship," Deboskie said. "I like UCLA, Cal, Stanford and Notre Dame and I'll be going to UCLA's Junior Day this weekend. I'm not sure about the rest of my summer plans."
Academically, Deboskie is very solid carrying a 4.16 GPA and he'll take the SAT later in the year.
