Arizona OL rising the charts

Offensive tackle Blake Behrens (6-4, 280, 5.1) from Phoenix (Ariz.) Brophy Prep is one of the best offensive line prospects from the Grand Canyon State for the class of 2007. He has grown an inch and gained 30 pounds over the past year.
Behrens has played both guard and tackle on the high school level, but probably projects as an offensive guard on the next level. Where he ends up playing doesn't matter to Behrens he just wants to help his team in anyway possible.

Behrens is now benching 360, squats 500 and power cleans 300. He also has recorded a 30-inch vertical since his last effort at the Nike Combine he attended.
On the gridiron, Behrens was selected all-state honorable mention as a sophomore. He improved on that as a junior when earned first-team all-state honors in 2005 and he was also a first-team all-area and all-league.
Behrens is getting a lot of recruiting attention from coast-to-coast. Some of the schools that he is hearing from our Boston College, Ole Miss, Vandy, Florida State, Arizona, Arizona State, Oregon, Oregon State and UCLA.
Behrens has the reputation as hard worker as he spends a lot of time in the weight room and working on his blocking technique. He is also an avid viewer of tape and spends a lot of time breaking down film.
The scouting report on Behrens is he's the complete lineman who is just as adept as a run blocker as he is in pass protection. He also moves very well for a big guy.
An all around athlete, Behrens is also shooting the shot for the track team.
What is Behrens looking for in a school?
"I want to go to a school with a good football program where I can also get an excellent education," Behrens said. "I'm looking into a school with a good atmosphere and a place where I can fit in well with the guys already there."
"I went to Arizona's junior day and I liked it a lot," Behrens said. "I liked the campus, the facilities and the coaches."
"I'm planning on going to some other junior days, too," Behrens said. "I'm planning to Arizona State junior real soon."
