Chandler (Ariz.) linebacker Gerald Munns is holding steady with two offers from Colorado State and San Diego State, but that doesn't mean the 6-foot-4, 230-pound isn't interested in more.
Aside from the scholarships in hand, Arizona and Arizona State are at the top of his list and he is really looking for something from the in-state schools before making any sort of decision.
"I'll get letters here and there and I just hope that maybe a couple other schools like Arizona or ASU will give a little more contact," Munns said. "If not, then I'll just move forward."
The two offered schools do have Munns interested in the opportunity that has presented itself.
"Oh yeah, I like them both a lot," Munns said about SDSU and CSU. "I think that they're really good schools and it's really two great conferences there. They've had much better seasons as well over the last few years."
His high school season comes first and an effort to put together another championship at the title-defending school. With all of Munns' attention focused on that, recruiting has taken a bit of a backseat.
"I want to win a state championship first and then worry about where I'll go to college," Munns said. The most important thing is my season and then I'll make my decision after that."
"This summer has been great for us winning a couple of passing camps at Arizona and just performing well together."
