Arizona DB open to Midwest

Chandler (Ariz.) Basha cornerback Quinn Evans has been through the extremes. Living in the Phoenix area, he's used to the 100 degree heat almost every day, but growing up he also lived in Detroit, so he's also used to the colder weather.
So that's why he's open to about anywhere in the Midwest or the Pac 10 region when it comes to making his college decision. But does still have his heart back in the Midwest, though.

"We used to live in Detroit, so I'm used to the cold even though we live in Arizona now," Evans said. "I'm a Big 10 guy. I like Stanford a lot, but I like Wisconsin and Ohio State a lot too. Both of my parents went to Wisconsin so they're kind of our family school. If Wisconsin offered I would definitely take a serious look at them. They would definitely be one of my top schools. I like them a lot."
Right now, Evans, who had 64 tackles and one interception in 2007, has one offer from Stanford. But a lot of other schools are very interested in him.
"Stanford and Northwestern are my main two schools that I've been talking to," Evans said. "But I've been talking to Wisconsin and Ohio State some too. Stanford is still my only offer, but I'm hoping on Arizona State soon, too. I'm going up to Ohio State's camp on I believe the 19th, then Wisconsin's on the 22nd. Hopefully I can see Northwestern while I'm up there."
So if he had to pick, who would be his top teams? And when would he like to commit?
"Stanford, Wisconsin and Ohio State probably," he said. "If I get some more offers I'll have to sit down and think about committing before the football season."
Evans is excited for the start of the 2007 season.
"We play Celt Point first week," he said. "And I expect to win. You always have to expect to win. We're going to be strong. We have a whole bunch of big lineman. They're like 6-foot-4, 300-pound guys. Then we're also going to have a real good secondary.
"I'd like to work on my backpedal speed this summer. You can always improve on that."
