Arizona DB lands local offer

Chandler (Ariz.) defensive back Marc Anthony has offers from schools all over the country but curiously, had yet to be offered by one of the schools closest to him. That changed earlier today.
Anthony, 6-0, 185 pounds is easily among the top five cover corners in the West this year. After several standout camp showings, Anthony has racked up an impressive list of scholarship offers to his name.

West Coast schools like Utah, Arizona State, Washington, Washington State and San Diego State have offered as well as national schools like Michigan, Nebraska and Colorado.
"Arizona just offered me today," Anthony said. "I got a message to call them and when I did, they offered me a scholarship. I was excited because I've always liked Arizona. My sister went to school there and I used to always go watch their home games.
"Her boyfriend played on the team so I was always around the program and the coaches. I was hoping for this offer and I'm definitely going to consider them, they're very high on my list."
Anthony said he still plans to take a few more unofficial visits and will also do some official trips before making his decision.
"I want to visit Cal and Oregon," Anthony said. "I don't know when but those are two schools I like a lot that haven't offered so I want to go check them out and see what they have to say. I don't have any official visits set either and haven't decided what schools I will trip to.
"Right now, Michigan is still my leader but I'm going to keep an open mind to all the schools recruiting me. After I take some of my trips, I'll sit down with my mom and decide where the best place for me is."
