Arizona ATH ready for Utah trip

Phoenix (Ariz.) Desert Vista two-star running/linebacker back Luke Matthews has already taken one official visit to Stanford. Now the 6-foot-2, 199-pounder is slated to take an official visit to Utah this weekend.
"I'm really excited about it," he said. "I'm just going to go to the game and go around the school and stuff. I just want to see what all they have to offer."

Matthews, the No. 14 player in Arizona, has made it clear that Stanford and Utah are the two teams to beat. He likes both, but both are also recruiting him differently.
"Stanford is recruiting me as a linebacker or safety," Matthews said. "Then Utah is recruiting me as a receiver. I like receiver better, but I'm not going to just not go somewhere because they are recruiting me on defense. I'll play defense, too. It's not that big of a deal."
Boise State is also involved with him. He does have offers from Stanford, Utah, Colorado State, San Diego State, Nevada and others. He's not sure when he plans to make an official decision, but this weekend's visit could go a long way toward that.
"I'm not trying to make it before the season is over," he said. "I just want to make sure I see everything and be 100 percent on whoever I choose."
Matthews has had a good senior season.
"So far I think I have like five touchdowns and some pretty good yardage rushing and passing," he said.
