Are Sooners still top for Texas safety

Sulphur Springs, Texas safety Keenan Clayton continues to receive a lot of attention from schools, but is the talented athlete closing in on a decision?
“Nothing has changed,” the 6-foot-2, 205-pound Clayton said. “It is going slow right now. They aren’t supposed to be calling now. I’ve been getting a lot of mail, but nothing out of the ordinary. No new offers.”

The only schools on Clayton’s list that hasn’t offered is Texas.
“I still haven’t heard anything from Texas,” he said. “It’s not a big deal. I still would say Oklahoma is at the top, but I’m not ready to make a decision, though. I’m going to wait until after my season is over and I can take my visits.”
While the plan is to wait, Clayton’s coach is trying to have his standout safety have a school in mind.
“My coach thinks I need to know before my season starts. You never think something will happen, but it would be one of those things pretty much just in case something happens. You hope to God it doesn’t, but if it did, I wouldn’t be without a school.”
