Are Pokes at the top for Texas OL

Waxahachie, Texas offensive lineman Marlon Winn continues to work hard on the field as schools keep recruiting him.
“Nothing new is happening on my end,” the 6-foot-5, 280-pound Winn said. “There really hasn’t been anything new recently. I’m just playing football. We are 2-2 on the season after our last game against Lancaster was suspended by weather after two stoppages. We are ahead 17-7, but I don’t think it will ever be finished. It was just suspended.”

The schools that are on Winn’s list include Arizona, Oklahoma State, Texas A&M, SMU, Texas Tech and Purdue. Offers have been extended by Arizona, Oklahoma State, Baylor, SMU and Missouri to date.
“I would say that I really don’t have a favorite at this point,” he said. “But, I am leaning toward Oklahoma State right now for three reasons. First, it is my dad’s alma mater. Second, Oklahoma State is the perfect place to study meteorology. I have always been interested in how the weather works. And third, they have a good football team. They might be what you call a favorite, I guess.”
Winn does not have any official visits scheduled definitely, but he does have a good idea where he will be spending the first weekend in December.
“Oklahoma State told me to keep Dec. 3 open. That is when they are having their top recruits in. I’m pretty sure I am going to visit there that weekend, but it is not locked for sure.”
