Are more offers coming for Phillips

Staten Island (N.Y.) Port Richmond safety Torian Phillips holds a couple offers including one from Syracuse. The 5-foot-10, 166-pounder believes a few other schools could be close to offering.
"I still have an offer from Syracuse and an offer from Wagner," he said. "I received a letter from Duke and they are talking about offering me. I have to get in contact with their coaches.

"I'm also hearing from Rutgers, Penn State and Iowa. I spoke to the coaches at Iowa and visited the campus. They all want to see my film and have me showcase my abilities more."
The two-star prospect maintains there isn't a leader amongst the schools at this time.
However, Phillips is planning to take some visits soon.
"I'm going to attend some games this fall at Syracuse and Rutgers. I haven't scheduled either yet."
With a variety of schools interested, what does the Empire State prospect want in a college?
"One thing I'm looking for is playing time and then on the football side I want to see how good the team is, whether they can use me or not," he stated. "I also want a good school academically."
So far this season, Phillips has helped his team to a 2-0 start.
"I've been doing good on offense, I should be doing better on defense," he said. "As of now, I know have four rushing touchdowns, one receiving, nine tackles and a forced fumble in two games."
