The four-star gave a brief answer to what made him open things back up.
"I have to do what's best for myself and for my family," he said. "I'll probably make a decision down the line when I feel that I'm more ready."
Anzalone has offers from some of the top teams across the country including Alabama, Florida, Florida State, Michigan, Notre Dame, Oklahoma, Penn State, Stanford and many more.
Though he wouldn't confirm, it is widely assumed that Ohio State may be eliminated from his options.
Prior to his commitment to Ohio State, Anzalone was very interested in Florida, Stanford, Penn State and Notre Dame. It is expected that those will be frontrunners if Ohio State is eliminated.
Anzalone is the No. 16 overall outside linebacker in the nation.
