Antwine ready to take in the Swamp

It's time for Garland, Texas defensive tackle Brandon Antwine to take his official visits after collecting quite a few offers since the start of his recruitment. Now, the Rivals250 defender wants to start narrowing down his list and trips are the first order of business.
The trips start with Florida this weekend for his first official trip. The Gators have been one of Antwine's top schools for a while and a trip to Gainesville is only one half of the journey that Antwine will take over the next few weeks.

"That's his first one to Florida, but then he's going to USC in two weeks on Oct. 29, and before that he's going to Oklahoma on Oct. 22," Garland coach Jeff Jordan said. "He's excited about his trips getting started this weekend."
The Gators and Trojans have been not been a secret favorite for Antwine who has publicly talked about the two teams as childhood favorites. Jordan feels that all the schools on his list fit a great profile.
"I talked to him and his mom and No. 1 is where he's going to fit in academic-wise," Jordan said about Antwine's factors. "All the schools he's looking at are all great programs with great people. It's mainly about where he's going to feel comfortable."
Relatives in the Florida area and the tradition of USC are also factors in Antwine's favorite list.
"When you've got family in the area, that always helps," Jordan said. "The tradition of USC obviously speaks for itself, so that's kind of why he has the schools up there."
