Antonio Martin has emerged as a 2022 RB to know

Antonio Martin rushed for over 1,600 yards and scored 23 touchdowns in 2019 as a sophomore and the talented running back out of Fairburn (Ga.) Langston Hughes has already picked up half a dozen offers.

Duke, Georgia State, Georgia Tech, Louisville, Miami, Tennessee and UAB have offered. He is hearing from Arkansas, Georgia, Maryland, Nebraska and Texas A&M among others.

"It is a good feeling to be through this [recruiting] process and I am just trying to enjoy it right now," said Martin. "Coaches are telling me they like my balance, my patience as a runner and my explosiveness. It is great to hear all that and I appreciate all the offers, so I am just going to keep working to get better."

Out of the two in-state schools that have offered, one has really caught Martin's attention.

"I like Georgia Tech. If you go to Tech, you have life outside of football and that means a lot. Megatron (Calvin Johnson) went there and they have had some good players.

"I like coach Knight and it is cool down there. I have been there once and I think I am getting back down there soon."

The 2022 prospect grew up a fan of the in-state rival of Georgia Tech. Martin has been following the Bulldogs since he can remember.

"I have been loving them my whole life. It is a hometown school, hey produce running backs and Georgia really stands out to me."

Another SEC school is on his mind, too. He took in a game in Knoxville and the Vols made an instant impression.

"My visit to Tennessee really stood out to me," said Martin. "The atmosphere at Georgia is great and I really liked the crowd and how loud it was at Tennessee."

Outside of a visit to Georgia Tech in the coming weeks, Martin is also looking to visit Georgia. He feels Maryland and Nebraska could be close to offering due to the strong interest they are showing.
