Antoine headed to C-USA

At the recent Texas Showcase Combine, Round Rock (Texas) defensive tackle Glen Antoine was the most impressive prospect at his position. At the time, the 6-foot-1, 274-pound defender was still waiting on offers. It did not take long for that to come through though.
On Thursday Antoine picked up the coveted first offer. The talented prospect did not waste long in making a commitment after receiving it.

"I committed to UTEP tonight," Antoine said on Thursday evening. They actually just offered me today. I talked to my family after that and then I called them back and told them I wanted to commit. They were really happy.
"I pretty much knew they were going to offer me. They said the offers were going out this week so it didn't come as too much of a surprise. It was good to hear."
Antoine says it was an easy decision to choose the Miners.
"It's a family atmosphere there," he said. "They've been recruiting me since last year and I like the coaches a lot. I decided that was where I wanted to be."
Though he has never visited the El Paso campus, it was not a concern to Antoine.
"I haven't been out there yet," he said. "They are sending me on an official visit in October and I'm excited for that."
Though he chose to commit to the first program that offered, it should not be considered a sign that Antoine's commit is a soft one.
"I'm done with everything," he said. "I'm going to UTEP."
