Baton Rouge (La.) University Lab 2016 cornerback Malik Antoine walked away from the New Orleans stop of Rivals Camp Series presented by Under Armour with defensive back MVP honors.

It was a well-deserved honor for the 5-foot-10, 170-pound defensive back. He was Mr. Consistency on the day and was always in position to make a play. So it should come as no surprise to anyone that Antoine is already a hot prospect on the recruiting trail.
"Right now I hold one offer from Akron, but I've been in contact with Mississippi State, LSU, Alabama, Texas, and Florida," Antoine said. "Those are all the schools that have been in contact with me."
He has already taken visits to Mississippi State, LSU, and Florida, but he is not ready to declare anyone the leader at this time.
"Right now it's really early in my recruiting process, so no schools are really that different as far as a favorite right now," Antoine said.
He does admit being right there in Baton Rouge, at University Lab, LSU does hold a special place with him.
"I mean I love LSU," Antoine said. "I've been living around it. I go to U-High right across the street. So there's always a place in my heart for LSU."
Antoine has had no problems staying busy. Last weekend was the Rivals Camp Series in New Orleans. This weekend he plans to hit the road again.
"I'm going to Texas on March 1," Antoine said. "They told me they wanted me to come up for junior day so I'm going up there."
As a sophomore in 2013, Antoine recorded 51 tackles, 5 interceptions, and 9 pass break-ups and earned first team all-metro.
