Another talented Ellison brother

Redondo Union (Calif.) is home to one of the top athletes in the state. Kevin Ellison, a 6-2, 210 pound two way standout will be the third member of the Ellison family to play college football and could be the best in the group.
Ellison's oldest brother Chris was a starting defensive back at BYU a few year ago and his other brother Keith signed two years ago with San Diego State and transferred to Oregon State this past year. The youngest Ellison is easily the biggest of the group and has the frame to easily pack on another 15 pounds or so and play linebacker in college. He currently stars at running back and strong safety but is being recruited on the defensive side of the ball.

As a junior, Ellison eared League MVP, all-area, all-CIF and 2nd team all-state Underclass honors after dominating on both sides of the ball. At running back, Ellison rushed for 1,402 yards and 15 touchdowns. At safety, he totaled 101 tackles, picked off two passes, one he returned for a touchdown, recovered three fumbles, forced two others and had two quarterback sacks.
On the recruiting front, Ellison is currently hearing from USC, Oregon, Oregon State, Northwestern, UCLA, Oklahoma, Colorado and Florida State.
"USC is my top school," Ellison said. "I've followed USC ever since I was a kid and have always liked them a lot. Oregon, Arizona, Oklahoma and Texas are the others in my top five. I'm planning to camp at both USC and UCLA and will also attend the NIKE Camp at Stanford."
Academically, Ellison is carrying a 3.0 GPA and scored a 1020 on the SAT.
