David Perry is another elite defensive end prospect from South Florida. Perry, 6-6 and 230 pounds, is from Fort Lauderdale (Fla.) University School. Last season as a junior he had 47 tackles and eight sacks.
"My strengths as a defensive end are my speed and my power," Perry said. "I have power moves and I can out quick linemen too. I can rush the passer and stop the run. I just need to work on my technique."
According to Perry teams like Alabama, Florida State, Oregon, Kentucky, Tennessee, Purdue, and Ole Miss have all offered.
"The first team to offer was Oregon. What a great feeling that was. It was good to get it out of the way with that that first one.
"I do not have a favorite and am open with process. I just want to visit around and see what I like."
Perry hopes to get out this spring and visit some schools but is not sure at this time which ones he will see.
