Doolittle says the Florida Gators are now among his favorite schools
heading into summer.
"They've really been talking to me a whole lot here lately," he said. "I like
what I've heard. I'll definitely be taking a look at them."
Florida joins Auburn, LSU, Miami, Tennessee and Alabama on Doolittle's current list
of favorites. He's got official scholarship offers from all six, as well as
almost every other major D-I program. He named LSU and Alabama as his two
current favorites, but everyone in recruiting circles know that the Auburn Tigers are the team to beat.
"I grew up an LSU fan," he said. "I wore No. 3 in the eighth grade because I
was a huge Kevin Faulk fan. He was my favorite running back. But I also grew up
watching Alabama here in my home state, so they're a favorite as well.
"Teams like Miami and Tennessee, they both have great tradition. I want to
visit those schools and see what it's like on campus."
Doolittle's combination of size (6-3, 258), speed (4.7) and strength (335
bench), make him one of the most sought-after defensive ends in the nation. He's
also being evaluated as a fullback by some programs.
He'll be camping at LSU, Auburn and Georgia this summer.
