Another player picks SMU

SMU picked up their fourth commitment for the 2003 class last week when Irving, Texas, linebacker Zach Hall gave head coach Phil Bennett his pledge to sign with the Mustangs.
Hall grew up a Texas Longhorn fan, but after a visit to the SMU camp and meeting members of the new SMU coaching staff, he felt that SMU was the place for him.

“They have four commitments and three of them are ranked in the Texas top 100,” Hall said. “It’s the perfect place for me.”
The 6-3, 225-pound linebacker has said in previous interviews that he was not likely to make an early commitment, but after he saw what SMU could offer him, there was no point in dragging it out.
“The education that SMU can offer me was a big part of my decision,” Hall said. “I will also be a part of a great recruiting class.”
Hall is listed as a three-star recruit by Rivals100.com and is ranked as the 48th best inside linebacker in the country.
