Another Osterloh to watch in VA

2015 linebacker Clayton Osterloh is a familiar name in the state of Virginia. His brother was a top 2013 lineman in the state and now he is emerging as a prospect to watch at Williamsburg (Va.) Warhill.
"I'm starting to get interest from James Madison, Old Dominion, Richmond and Virginia Tech," he said. "I plan to take some visits in the offseason, but I have taken visits this fall to Virginia Tech, James Madison and Old Dominion.

"The Old Dominion game actually wowed me. It was just their level of play and how determined they were. I liked the discipline they have. I also liked James Madison. It seems like a really good school and the coaches are nice. They interact with the players and I really like that. It's a good family atmosphere."
Of course, Osterloh has taken numerous trips to Blacksburg this year because of his brother, Parker.
"I really like Virginia Tech," he said. "It's a great school up in the mountains and a pretty campus. The football team is outstanding and they have a really good staff."
Osterloh touched on the impact of his brother.
"It definitely helps a lot that he's there," he said. "I got to meet a lot of the coaches at an earlier age and established a relationship with them. So that's good."
Still, Osterloh is high on James Madison early on.
"James Madison is my favorite," he said. "I feel I could play there right now and their football team is really good. They are rebuilding, but they are making a comeback. I do hope there is more interest and I can potentially go Division I though."
Osterloh plans to take one more visit this fall for the Virginia Tech-Virginia game on November 30th.
As he visits schools, the linebacker is looking for a few things.
"I'm specifically looking at architecture or engineering," he said. "A lot of schools offer that, but that's what I want. I also really want a school that will help me with tutors and academic support. I would like to be close to home too."
Playing numerous positions this year including tight end, H-back, fullback, quarterback, linebacker and defensive end, Osterloh touched on his season.
"I injured my ankle and missed a couple weeks, but I played well," he said. "I gained a lot of weight this year and that helped me get off my blocks and get to the ball a little quicker. I improved my speed and muscle too.
"I think right now my biggest attribute is my versatility. I'll go anywhere coach wants me and go 110%."
