Another Ohio QB has offers

West Milton (Ohio) Milton Union dual-threat quarterback Mitchell Evans is one of the better athletes in Ohio. He's able to not only project at both quarterback but at a number of other different positions. The 6-foot-3, 190-pounder has already picked up scholarship offers from Ohio, Eastern Michigan, Kent and Eastern Kentucky.
"It's been very busy around here," Evans, who threw for 1,920 yards and 20 scores and rushed for an additional 513 yards, said. "I'm getting a lot of good attention, but I would like to get more attention from some Big 10 schools.

"I'm going to attend camps at Eastern, Miami of Ohio, Michigan State, Notre Dame, Purdue, Indiana and West Virginia, so hopefully I can change some of that."
But for now he does have some solid options on the tape.
"I haven't gotten to visit Ohio yet, but the head coach was at the school yesterday," Evans said. "Ohio has shown me the most interest so far. At Eastern, I met the quarterback coach, and I like them a lot. It seems I can relate to him really well.
"I've not really heard much from Kent State in a while, so I don't know about them. I've been getting letters but haven't talked to the coaches in a while. I know that Eastern Kentucky is Division I-AA, but the coach came in and offered at my school. I would like to get to know them better, but I just don't know much about them."
Evans was an all-conference and all-state selection in 2005 and those are things he hopes to repeat in 2006.
"You have to shoot for the stars," he said.
