Jerrell Priester got some more good news today, as the rising senior from Allendale (S.C.) Fairfax High School, got another scholarship offer.
"East Carolina offered today," Priester said. "They are a nice school. ECU is a school on the rise. They are going to be a contender for sure. They like me as a running back. It was a surprise because I hadn't heard much from them. They actually offered me about a month ago but I never got the letter. They think it went to the wrong address.
"Coach (Phil) Petty seems like a nice dude and someone I would like to play for. I will try and get up there and visit them. I may go to their camp in June (June 7th)."
Priester, 5-10 and 170 pounds, stars on both sides of the ball. Last season he rushed for almost 1,200 yards and 12 scores while averaging 12 yards a carry. Defensively, he had 50 tackles and two sacks in the secondary. Notre Dame, ECU and South Carolina State have now offered.
"Vanderbilt, Notre Dame, Clemson and South Carolina are my favorite schools right now. South Carolina State is on my radar even though they are a smaller school. I like ECU but I really don't know too much about them. I will look into them for sure."
