Another offer coming for Spurlock

In the last week, wide receiver Brandon Spurlock out of Richmond (Va.) Henrico took an unofficial visit to one of the in-state schools. The 5-foot-10, 185-pounder had a good trip there.
"I went to Virginia last weekend for an open practice," he said. "It was a good visit. They showed me how the team practices and I was able to check out the new facilities there. I was also able to talk to Al and Mike Groh. They talked about how they were evaluating me and it sounds like there is a good chance an offer will come through."

At this time, the Commonwealth prospect holds three offers from Connecticut, James Madison and William & Mary. Spurlock has started to look at the offer from the Huskies in recent weeks.
"I've started to consider them," he said. "I noticed they are in the Big East which is a big-time conference. I also like the coaches from there. They seem nice."
Spurlock has begun to consider a decision.
"I think I want to wait it out and check out some rosters," he said. "I want to see where I'll get the best opportunity to play in college."
Meanwhile, Spurlock is preparing for the upcoming season.
"I've been practicing with the team," he said. "We're pretty young this year, but I think we've got some good veterans and we can get a championship. I am much better. I've grown both in height and weight and my knowledge of the game is better. I do really want to work on my defensive skills more this season though."
