Another Oaks Christian standout commits

Westlake Village (Calif.) Oaks Christian could have as many as 10 players sign with high Div I schools next February. Already three players from the school have made college commitments and defensive back Anthony Gildon just made it No. 4 by announcing for Oregon.
"He committed last night," OC coach Bill Redell said. "I really want all my guys to commit by Septmember so they don't have any distractions during the season. Anthony and his family have taken several unofficial visits already and they just really loved it at Oregon.

"Anthony has been leaning that way for some time now and his parents really liked it a lot. They're getting a heck of a player. Anthony can really cover, he's fast and physical and is just a very talented all around player."
Gildon, 6-0, 180 pounds is easily one of the top five pure cover corners in the West region. We saw him a year ago at the NIKE 7 on 7 passing tournament and loved his style of play. He also shows up very well on film and has the size to match up with the bigger receivers in the Pac 10. He turned down offers from a host of schools including Tennessee, Nebraska, Michigan, Mississippi and a host from the Pac 10.
Who might be the next player from Oaks to make an announcement?
"I think our linebacker Casey Matthews might be the next one," Redell said. "He was going to commit to Oregon too but now Cal has come on strong so it's going to be a battle between those two schools I think."
QB Jimmy Clausen (Notre Dame), RB Marc Tyler (USC) and DB Marshall Jones (USC) have also committed from Oaks.
